61st-annual Clinton County Fair continues

MORRISONVILLE -- The 61st-annual Clinton County Fair is under way at the fairgrounds in Morrisonville.

Gate admission is $7 for adults and free for kids age 11 and under. Parking is free.

Tonight is the Johnny Cash tribute show. It's also Evening Madness, with wristbands for Reithoffer Shows carnival rides, good 7 p.m. to closing, available for $15.

Here is today's schedule:

8 a.m.: 4-H Horse Show, Saddle Horse Arena.

9 a.m.: FFA Showmanship of Cattle, Denton Publications Cattle Barn.

Noon: Carnival rides start.

1, 3 and 6 p.m.: Pipsqueak's Party Time Clown Show, sponsored by Price Chopper, Children's Stage.

1 and 4 p.m.: Group Therapy performs.

2 and 4 p.m.: 4-H public presentation, 4-H Barn.

2, 5 and 7:30 p.m.: Masters of the Chainsaw Sculptors, sponsored by Paul Smith's College.

2, 5 and 8 p.m.: Granpa Cratchet Show, sponsored by Key R-D Trailer Sales.

2:30 p.m.: Master Gardeners demonstration in the Grange Building.

3, 6 and 9:30 p.m.: Buffalo Barfield's Unherd-of-Entertainment, sponsored by Riley Ford.

4 p.m.: Michigan-eating contest in the Stewart's Shop & Taylor Rental Gazebo, sponsored by McSweeney's Red Hots.

4 to 5:30 p.m.: Horse pull weigh-in.

4 and 7 p.m.: B & C Ranch Adorable Animal Actors, sponsored by Champlain Boat Works at Snug Harbor Marina.

5 and 6 p.m.: Cops Care program, Curtis Lumber stage.

6 p.m.: Horse-pull pit meeting.

6:30 p.m.: Horse pull starts, sponsored by Chauvin Agency on the Graymont Materials NY racetrack infield.

6:30 p.m.: Coin Hunt in the sawdust pile, $100 added each day, sponsored by HSBC Bank, Adirondack Bank, Dannemora Federal Credit Union, U-First Federal Credit Union, Georgia-Pacific Community Federal Credit Union, Champlain Federal Credit Union, Champlain National Bank and Community Bank.

7 p.m.: Master hypnotist Michael Blaine, Curtis Lumber Stage, sponsored by Bizarre Bazaar and Rent A Wreck.

8 to 10 p.m.: FlashBack performs in the Stewart's Shop & Taylor Rental Gazebo.

8 p.m.: Terry Lee Goffee, The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute, sponsored by Econo Lodge Inn & Suites, WOKO 98.9 and Plattsburgh Housing Outlet on the George Moore's Northern Car Crushers Stage in front of the Akwesasne Mohawk Grandstand. Admission is $2.
