---- — ELCS Board to examine bus-fleet report
ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in the conference room at the school.
Preceding that session, at 6 p.m., will be a public forum on school-budget development.
Both meetings are open to the public.
The agenda for the School Board meeting includes: a data-based report on the School District’s bus fleet; discussion of the National Snapshot report on school budget cuts and national forecasts; and examination of the superintendent/principal’s summary analysis of the Governor’s Executive Budget proposal.
Agenda set for Franklin County Legislature
MALONE — Legislators will discuss snowmobile-program funding, agri-tourism plans and job vacancies when they meet Thursday at the Franklin County Courthouse.
The meetings begin at 9 a.m., with the Human Resources Committee and Nursing Home Administrator Mary Palmer discussing a vacancy.
That will be followed at 9:15 a.m. by the Franklin Snowmobilers Inc. meeting with members of the Economic Development and Planning Committee. The same committee will hear a presentation from Bernadette Logozar of Cornell Cooperative Extension outlining a strategic plan for agri-tourism at 9:30 a.m.
The Board of Elections commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. with the Administrative Committee about polling sites, and at 10:15 a.m., District Attorney Derek Champagne will meet with the Public Safety Committee about a position he’d like to fill.
A work session with the full board starts at 10:30 a.m., and the call to order is at 11:30 a.m.
All meetings are open to the public and are held in the fourth-floor chambers of the County Legislature.
