Dates set for

used book sale

WILLSBORO — The Friends of the Paine Memorial Free Library is holding its annual used book sale Friday, Aug. 10, and Saturday, Aug. 11, at 2 Gilliland Lane.

A large selection of special and rare books will be for sale. A preview sale will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10, and refreshments will be served.

The Aug. 11 sale hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Book sale coming up in Keene Valley

KEENE VALLEY — Keene Valley Library, 1796 Route 73, is holding the “Best Book Sale Ever” from Aug. 3 to 5 as part of Keene Valley Days.

From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, Library Friends will host a preview reception. For $5 per person, visitors can see and buy ahead of the crowd. Refreshments will be served.

Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

Sunday, Aug. 5, is the popular “$2 a Bag Book Sale,” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Keeseville library holding sale

KEESEVILLE — Keeseville Free Library, 1721 Front St., is holding its annual book sale Aug. 15 through 17.

Sale hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16; and 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

Storytime events

set in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID — The Bookstore Plus on Main Street will hold two children’s events this week.

At 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, the Weekly Monday Summer Storytime will celebrate National Blueberry Month.

A Where’s Waldo Grand Celebration is planned from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31. Activities include a prize drawing, games and snacks. Children can come dressed for the Waldo and Wenda lookalike contest.
