No public hearing tonight at Salmon River School

BOMBAY — There is not a public hearing on the Salmon River Central School budget tonight.

Due to a technical difficulty, a story from 2012 ran in today's Press-Republican instead of a report on a $36.6 million capital project district residents will vote on at a referendum set for noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in the school auditorium.

The project includes a redesign of the Elementary School, expansion and roof replacement of the bus garage, installation of electronic security measures and overall energy-efficiency upgrades to the boilers, lighting, flooring and windows.

Building tours will be conducted from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, allowing residents to see existing conditions. A public-information session will follow at 7 p.m. in the High School auditorium to review the renovation plans.
