ROUSES POINT — Entertainment on the Samuel de Champlain Center Stage here this weekend kicks off with country singer Larry Lee Ebere from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday.
The Plattsburgh man is accompanied on some numbers by slide shows on a huge inflatable screen.
Performing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday is the Chill Billies, who play country/rock.
Coming up at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, is a show by Scott Merchant, a Rouses Point native just back from performing in an opera in Italy. Singing a mix of opera and modern numbers, he will be joined by Elizabeth Churchill, another local vocalist of note from Hemmingford, Quebec. That show is sponsored by Stewart's Shop. Aug. 18 is the rain date for that show.
And the final show this summer will feature the Back Porch Band at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. That group, which performs country folk, is also sponsored by Stewart's.
The shows are free, held on the outdoor stage located on the grounds of the Rouses Point Recreation Center on Lake Street. There's plenty of parking in the lot that serves the center.
