Hydrant flushing ongoing in Saranac Lake

SARANAC LAKE — Saranac Lake is in the midst of flushing hydrants throughout the village.

Crews will complete this round on Friday, but flushing will occur several more times this summer, as part of the process of switching the drinking-water system to a new well source that is almost completed.

The village also clears the hydrants to exercise them and to flush sediment from the water mains.
