Salmon River voters to decide expansion

BOMBAY — Voters in Salmon River Central School District will vote on a $36.6 million expansion project today.

The polls are open from noon to 8 p.m. in the school auditorium.

The work is the second part of a two-phase, $70 million renovation project that included reconfiguration of the Elementary School, expansion of the bus garage and replacement of its roof, better security systems and energy-efficiency upgrades.

The library and computer lab upgrades are also included, along with new flooring in the High School gym and the addition of a fitness center and indoor track, which the community is invited to use.

The first phase of the project created the district’s Middle School, upgraded the art and music departments, added elementary classrooms and athletic fields.

Today, voters will also select someone to fill the unexpired School Board seat vacated by the resignation of Stacy Skidders. The candidates are Christopher Nye, Jacque Leduc and Sheila Marshall.

Is it possible for a woman not to know she's pregnant before she starts giving birth?
