No contested races in northern Franklin County

â Voters in Brushton, Burke, Chateaugay go to polls March 20

BRUSHTON — Two mayoral seats and five trustee positions are up for re-election next month in northern Franklin County villages.

Voters in the villages of Brushton, Burke and Chateaugay will go to the polls on Tuesday, March 20.

But none of the candidates on the ballots are running opposed.

Here is the list of candidates:

BRUSHTON

Mayor (two-year term): Incumbent Donald Barney (D).

Trustee (four-year term): Incumbent Kasey DeBeer (D).

Trustee (two-year unexpired term): Candy Rockhill (R).

Residents will cast votes from noon to 8 p.m. at the Brushton Fire Department.

BURKE

Mayor (two-year term): Incumbent Craig Dumas (D).

Trustee (two-year term): Gary Lewis (D).

Burke residents will vote from noon to 9 p.m. at the Town Hall.

CHATEAUGAY

Trustee (two-year term; vote for two): incumbent Patricia Dragon (D); and incumbent Robert Bissette (D).

Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. at the Village Offices at 8 Iron Ave.
