Neil Philip Buffett graduated Dec. 22 from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, Long Island, with a Doctor of Philosophy in history. He graduated from Plattsburgh State with his bachelor's degree and St. Rose, Albany, with his master's.
Buffett is a full-time professor at Suffolk Community College, Selden, Long Island. He is the son of Elizabeth Patten Buffett of Plattsburgh and David Buffett of Morrisonville.

A member of the Rouses Point Volunteer Fire Department, Barie is a student at Clinton Community College, majoring in criminal justice. He joined the fire department two years ago.
