City changes trash schedule
for holiday
PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh has changed its refuse-collection schedule for next week due to the Fourth of July holiday.
There will be no pickup on Wednesday, July 4.
Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s collection will be done as normal.
Wednesday’s pickup will be done Thursday.
City School Board to reorganize
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday to reorganize for the new school year.
The board will elect officers, make annual appointments and also hold its regular session, with miscellaneous personnel and business items on the agenda.

Raffle to benefit
Woodsmen’s Days
TUPPER LAKE — The Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Association is holding a fundraiser to benefit its annual Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Days. Tickets, priced at $10, can win the purchaser a choice of 10 face cords of split firewood, 3 tons of pellets or $800 cash.
The drawing will be held at the end of Woodmen’s Days, on July 15.
Tickets are available from the Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Association office, the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce or from Association Board members.
The Woodsmen’s Association is a nonprofit organization that holds its annual Woodsmen’s Days in order to give back to the community. Funds have benefited Adirondack Medical Center; March of Dimes; Tupper Lake Rescue Squad; Castles of Toys; Tupper Lake Food Pantry; the Piercefield Fire Department; the local S.A.D.D. program; and Hospice.
New at this year’s Woodsmen’s Days are a 57-foot inflatable obstacle course a
nd a dunk chair.
